Jock Robson is a distinguished industry mentor, photographer, and stylist who has significantly contributed to the New Zealand and international hairdressing scene. As co-owner and founder of Dharma Salons and the Industry Event & NZ Hairdressing Awards, Jock is deeply committed to advancing the craft of hairdressing in New Zealand and nurturing the next generation of talented professionals.
Jock has been recognized for his exceptional skills and vision, having been ranked in the top ten globally for Commercial Stylist of the Year on two occasions. He has worked backstage at major international fashion weeks, collaborating with renowned designers and hair artists. His photographic work has graced the pages of fashion publications globally, with notable features in Garage Magazine, as well as a wide array of international and national fashion and hairdressing outlets.
With 20 years of experience as a qualified educator, Jock has provided training and consultation to the New Zealand hairdressing industry, empowering countless professionals. His innovative work has garnered recognition in prestigious competitions such as Hair Expo Australia, AIPP Award, Wella Trend Vision, L’Oréal Colour Trophy, Kérastase Colour Trophy, and Joico Innovision, among others.
A passionate photographer, Jock has shot in top fashion capitals including New York, Barcelona, Berlin, London, and Australia. He also specializes in producing photographic collections for the Dharma team, industry clients, and fellow hairdressers.
